Developing ELF research for critical language education

چکیده

Abstract Research in English as a Lingua Franca (ELF), that is the medium of communication between people who come from different linguacultural backgrounds, has created rich body work various areas. This article focuses on more recent development this research for teachers and teacher educators perspective critical language education (CLE). We explore how ELF research, both linguistic/discourse-oriented one pedagogic-oriented one, can benefit its links to CLE, with understanding teaching social change. then refer aspects transformative theory become relevant designing implementing ELF-aware programmes, focusing especially three recursive (non-linear) components, i.e. phase exposure, awareness actions implement their teaching. finish by exploring role assessment conclude inviting involved CLE.
